IYT Worldwide Bareboat Skipper and VHF course

Charter a yacht and be your own skipper, sail from island to island or along an indented coastline, these are the most relaxing holidays you can imagine. Whether the Mediterranean Sea, the Caribbean or the romantic islands of the South Pacific; there are charter firms to help you on your way. These firms all require proof of ability to be the master of a vessel.
The IYT Worldwide Bareboat Skipper and VHF Operator certificates (required for the master of a vessel) offered by Yacht Training 2000 are internationally recognised certificates of competency that will allow you to charter a vessel worldwide. Holders of the IYT Bareboat Certificate will be eligible for the an ICC(International Certificate of Competence) which complies with UN guidelines for recreational boating.
The IYT Worldwide training will take place on board a suitable vessel over the course of two weeks. For well experienced candidates we can do the course and examination in one week on board.
The role of a skipper is a blend of sailing and navigational knowledge and practical seamanship. Two weeks of theory and direct practical application on board a vessel at sea will allow you to confidently take the helm of your vessel.
Yacht Training 2000 offers both courses in English and German, we are the the only Sailing School to provide all IYT Worldwide learning materials in German as well.
